Should Arsenal also seek compensation from West Ham?

March 19, 2009

West Ham United finally caved into the Sheffield United mafia. The hammers are set to pay around £10 million over a period of few years. Upon discovering this, Neil Warnock and few Sheff Utd players are considering suing West Ham. And yesterday I heard the infamous Ken Bates was taking legal advice to see whether the other Yorkshire mafia Leeds United could get compensation. Apparently Sheff Utd’s relegation meant they could not pay add on fees to Leeds or something like that. Who cares…sounds like West Ham are going to get sued left, right and centre..

So I was thinking shouldn’t Arsenal seek compensation from West Ham? Sounds ridiculous but think about it. We finished fourth again..one point below Liverpool in third. The hammers won 1-0 home and away, so yep did the double over us. If it weren’t for them, we would have finished third at least and who knows given the top 2 a run for their money. Henry wouldn’t have left and along with him several others would have stayed. We wouldn’t be fighting for 4Th because our squad would have been more experienced. And as you will have known winning the league is so tough because there are so many average London sides to play like the Hammers. So if they were docked points, they would have been screwed. A lot of players would have left so it would be very difficult for them to come back up if they were relegated.

So for all that stress, shouldn’t we also claim compensation from West Ham??
After all Leeds who weren’t even in the Premiership are considering taking legal action.
Sheff Utd also got relegated because of the illegal Tevez signing. They didn’t get relegated because they lost to Wigan at home on the last day of the season when they needed only a draw to survive. They didn’t get relegated because their away form was crap. It was because of West Ham.
So by that logic, Arsenal are not as good as before because of West Ham signing Tevez?

It’s an absurd case. How the tribunal could come to the decision for Sheff Utd. The hotdog vendor should claim to seeing as he has probably lost income.
